Public office
Dr. Hamzat was Commissioner for Science and Technology, Lagos State, from 2005 to 2011, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Lagos State, from 2011 to 2015, and Special Adviser (Technical) at the Federal Ministry of Works, Power and Housing, Abuja, from 2015 to 2019, before being elected, in 2019, as Deputy Governor of Lagos State, an office he has held since.
Achievements in office
As listed on the candidate's site, his achievements in office include the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, the implementation of Oracle ERP modules across Lagos State government operations, and the removal of ghost workers from the state payroll.
