Dr. Hamzat at the town hall with Lagos millennials and Gen Zs
The Platform Nigeria held a town hall meeting on 1 October 2026 at which millennials and Gen Zs in Lagos met candidates for Governor of Lagos State. Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat took part. Two quote cards made from the meeting attribute these words to him: "Every child in Lagos must be in school, cared for and given the opportunity to thrive." and "Government must use technology to make life easier and reduce the time people spend accessing services." In the first clip, he talks about the work he led in Lagos State government and gives his guarantee that the time it takes people to get from home to work will be shorter than it is today. In the second, he speaks about a state economic council that would bring the governor and the local governments together, and says businesses should know what they will pay and then be left alone. In the third, which repeats parts of the first, he says he was born in Mushin and went to a public primary school there, and that everyone under 18 must be in school or in a trade.
